In what can only be described as a candidate for the world piece of parenting we have seen all year, a man has been busted for leaving his kids in the car whilst he went up to a motel room to have sex with a prostitute. Unfortunately for out ‘Father of the Year’, it turned out the sex worker was in-fact an undercover policewoman.
The prostitution sting took place in Santa Ana, Orange County, USA. It seems Juan Humberto Martinez was driving along in his SUV with his two year old and five year old son in the car with him. He then stopped to ask what he thought was a sex worker how much her services costed.
A Public Performance
Well, upon getting an answer he must have liked, he proceeded to ask the young lady to pleasure him whilst the kids were in the car.
Upon hearing her refusal to do any such thing, he followed her up to a motel room, where instead of getting some action, he found a waiting police task force, who quickly arrested him.
As soon as the ‘gentleman’ was in cuffs, they called up his wife who was working cleaning office buildings.
He has now pleaded guilty to child abuse and endangerment, and soliciting a prostitute. One suspects his wife won’t be too impressed either. Getting caught seeing a prostitute is bad enough, doing it with your kids in the car is beyond the pale. If he doesn’t get his balls cut off, then he is doing well I would say.
Well, Martinez must now spend thirty days in jail or do the same amount of Caltrans work (apparently that is a form of community service) if I was him, the mood his wife will be in, I would take the jail time.

It does seem that Mr Martinez is rather remorseful regarding the incident.
“He cares very much for his family and he’s very remorseful and wishes he made a better choice,” Martinez’s lawyer, Jose Alfredo Hernandez, said.
