Taking up a new class in January isn’t something that original. It is part of our attempt to make the year ahead more productive than the year gone by. These classes can take many different forms; language, fitness amongst others. But have you heard of a bondage classes?
Well bondage classes have come to Edinburgh, and guess what? They are selling out! Maybe it is something to do with the success of ’50 Shades of Grey’, but it seems that the men and the women of the capital really want to spice up their sex lives, and are looking for professional guidance to help them.
Adventurous students will enrol in the first beginners classes at the White Rabbit boutique, on Broughton Street, at the end of the month.
The Sessions will teach couples to tie each other up in a safe manner, with lessons lasting three hours. Organaniser Heather Craig is not surprised by the success of her classes.
‘Really Good Fun’
“It’s really good fun. A lot of couples do it because it’s something they can do together, it’s a bit of fun and can go away and try some of it out in the bedroom.”
Single people are also welcome, as they will be paired off with other singles at the start of the session.
Starter packs including hemp ropes, the oil used to maintain them, and instructions will be available to buy at an additional charge to the £30 quick course.
Students are also asked to wear comfy clothing to the sessions where they will learn basic rope ties and be briefed on health and safety before practicing the sexy techniques on each other.
The classes discourage people from using household objects to hold their partners fast, and instead encourage to use special, soft, oily ropes.
Edinburgh is no stranger to unconventional evening classes with everything from how to become a dominatrix to taxidermy on offer.
