Most people have their own exciting stories for the unusual places they have got down and dirty, but can you say that you have had sex on stage during a live concert?
For one California couple, their sex antics have made them famous, as a photograph taken of them having sex on the stage of a recent punk gig has gone viral. I’m pretty sure their public sex has just outdone everyone else’s sexy efforts.
A memorable concert
Picture the scene – you are one of the lucky ones who managed to get tickets to the sold out Dead Kennedys’ gig. The gig, being held in the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, California, is going to be amazing. You know when you go to a concert it will be something you’ll remember for a long time.
The atmosphere at a sold out gig is amazing. Everyone in the room with you is there for the same reason – to see a band they love perform.
Yet those attending this particular gig got more than they bargained for when a man and a woman got on the stage and started having sex.
A picture tells a thousand words
The woman, who apparently was fully exposing herself to the crowds, didn’t seem too worried about the location they were having sex. Her partner was the same, as the two seemed so enthralled in the moment that they didn’t care about the hundreds of people watching.
The security team came along and stopped them, but not before onlookers got a juicy snap to illustrate their tale.
One of the witnesses to the event commented on it, saying that at “punk concerts it’s usually you yell and scream at the establishment. This was something definitely different to see at a punk concert.”
I’m guessing the man and woman were screaming about something else!
Escaping charges
Unbelievably, it seems these star-crossed lovers might be escaping charges! It seems that, in California, it is only an offence to expose yourself in public if others are “offended or annoyed” by it… and since no complaints have been made to the local sheriff’s office, they may have gotten away Scott free.
However, the Belly Up Tavern could be in trouble for the incident, as it may be a “violation of the business and professions code” for such a shocking act to have taken place in front of so many people.
I don’t understand why you can blame the tavern. Their security stopped the couple almost as soon as it started, and it isn’t as though they were encouraging people to get it on!
The tavern owners have spoken out about it, stating that “of course we don’t condone this activity in our establishment and security stopped it right away. This is certainly a first for us.”
