It’s called this because it looks a lot like the man is using the woman like a pogo stick. In porn videos we never really see the couple getting in to this position. The scene will just suddenly change and they are fucking in this way. It never lasts long, which probably tells you everything you need to know about it.
That said, it is meant to be a fantastic position to get into. It requires a lot of strength on both parts, specifically core strength for the woman and leg strength for the man. 2. Spider sense
