Ali Wilkin, from Colchester, complained to the company and launched an online petition to remove the product from sale, calling it a &#8216;vile piece of misogyny&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>A member of the Leeds based company named Thoman O&#8217;Neill replied to her complaint saying &#8220;internal matters are not for discussion&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if they would deal with the complaint properly he relied &#8216;no&#8217;. Talk about trolling!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"inline\">Double Standards<\/h2>\n<p>Well, upon getting another tweet from a user called @nlfin, who branded the product &#8220;appalling&#8221;, Boxer Gifts said: &#8220;Thanks for your interest in our satirical product.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.escort-scotland.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/iStock_000010498599XSmall.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-880\" src=\"https:\/\/www.escort-scotland.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/iStock_000010498599XSmall.jpg\" alt=\"Man in bed while woman sleeps\" width=\"425\" height=\"282\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And then they came out with a line which I thought was classic.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a bit sexist of you though, assuming it refers to only one sex. Don\u2019t buy it if you don\u2019t get it\u2026&#8221;That didn&#8217;t stop more users jumping in to give the company a kicking, including a message from Nick Mellish saying: &#8220;You&#8217;re a trigger-happy company of sexist eejits.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The online petition now has 85 signatures.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"inline\">Masking Issues<\/h2>\n<p>I have to say, this is one of the reasons that people don&#8217;t take the drive for real equality seriously. When jokes like this are being called an &#8216;incitement to rape&#8217;, then real issues such as inequality in pay get written off as the rambling of feminists of male PC guys who want to prove how &#8216;right on&#8217; they are.<\/p>\n<p>In my opinion, <strong>humour should never be driven out of society.<\/strong> Still, I would love to get in my Delorean, go 100 years in the future and see what the world is like.
